It's a long way to Argon - and a long way from your home.
The gentle hum of the train is soothing and the ride is smooth, the perfect setup for a nap as you travel nearly the whole distance of the Grid.
When you're not napping, you're looking out the window, watching the world race by. Each city stop is a glance into another world, full of programs that live their lives in countless ways.
Most of the view is of the desolate Outlands, though. A gray, rocky, and hostile scenery. On a rare occasion, you see a lightcycle speed by, hopefully on their way to somewhere better.
Mountains are a common sight, small energy pools much less so. And, once, you think you might've seen some mysterious ruins off in the distance for just a brief moment.
The announcement of your imminent arrival in Argon catches your attention and you stretch to loosen up the stiffness of travel.
Once you disembark, you take a quick look at the map, then head off.
As far as cities go, Argon is a small one, so it's not too tricky to find your destination.
[[Arrive at Able's Garage]]For a small city, the garage is bustling with activity. There's programs and vehicles everywhere. It seems chaotic at first glance, but underneath, everybody knows what's happening at any given time.
As you wander through the garage taking in all of the sights of what you hope is to be your next workspace, a program greets you.
"Hey, you're a new face around here, what brings you to the garage this cycle?"
You tell him that you're here to see Able about a job, and the program smiles.
"Great, he's in his office, it's right this way."
He lead you to a doorway and he peek his head in, "You've got a job applicant, Able, and I think this one's a keeper!" He gives you a wink, then lightly pushes you to the door, "Go on, don't be shy!"
[[Go In to Able's Office]]"Lightcycles are the main vehicles that we work on here. We see a little bit of everything, but just about everyone has a lightcycle and we're one of the best garages in the city."
She gestured to a lightcycle docked into place, "Since lightcycles are common here, we've got a couple of test lightcycles for you to practice on before you handle the real deal."
Mara lets that sink in before continuing, "There are four main parts to a lightcycle. There's the baton that they're stored in, the power cell that processes energy, the engine that makes it actually go, and the two wheels that the lightcycle travels on. Sometimes it'll be obvious what's wrong with the lightcycle, but it's always a good idea to inspect all the parts, just in case."
She stands back, "That should be it, so you're ready to go. I'll be standing by, in case you have any questions."
Bit agrees, "YES!"
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]]This lightcycle is not quite the newest model, so it's clear that it's been used as an example for new mechanics for a good few cycles.
There's no obvious damage to the exterior, so you'll need to take a closer look.

[[Inspect Vehicle 01's Wheels]]
-
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 01]]The lightcycle's baton works smoothly, it's responsive, though a little loose from all the cycles of use.
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]] The engine is standard for the type of lightcycle it is, though it looks slightly newer than the lightcycle's exterior. It seems that it was replaced at some point in time.
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]] Upon first glance, the power cell looks completely fine and functional. However, once you take a closer look, you find that it's completely empty, drained of all energy.
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]] For the lightcycle's age, there's not much wear to the wheels. Perhaps it's because it's mainly been used as a test vehicle.
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]] After looking over the vehicle, you're ready to give your report.
Mara crosses her arms and looks at you with a smile, "So, what do you think is wrong with the lightcycle?"
[[Vehicle 01's Baton Broken]]
[[Vehicle 01's Engine Broken]]
[[Vehicle 01's Power Cell Broken]]
[[Vehicle 01's Wheels Broken]]
-
[[Inspect Vehicle 01]] You say to Mara that the power cell is not functioning properly.
She gives you a pleased look, "Perfect! So, what's the fix?"
[[Repair Vehicle 01's Power Cell]]
[[Refuel Vehicle 01's Power Cell]]
-
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 01]] You tell Mara that you think the baton is broken.
"Nope!" Mara said, "It could probably use a little tune-up, but it'll keep working even if we don't fix it."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 01]] You say that the engine is broken and Mara shakes her head, "Sorry, no, it has been before, but it's just fine now."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 01]] You declare that the lightcycle's wheels are broken.
Mara laughs gently, "Alas, they've barely been used, so I'm pretty sure they're not the problem."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 01]] You reply to Mara that since the power cell is broken, it needs to be repaired.
Mara shakes her head, "I'm not so sure about that, I don't think there's any damage on it."
[[Vehicle 01's Power Cell Broken]] Your reply is that the power cell doesn't have any power, so it needs to be refueled.
Mara nods approvingly, "Right! Let me show you how to do it."
[[Refuel vehicle 01's power cell with energy]]Mara shows you that there's a hose attached to the workstation that connects to a direct power source.
The buttons to work it are simple, just a stop and go to control the flow of energy.
You attach the hose to the power cell and fill it up completely.
Once you're done, Mara explains how to put the hose back so that nobody trips on it.
After the job's complete, Mara puts the lightcycle away in its baton.
[[What will you do after repairing vehicle 01?]]Mara looks to you, "You did great repairing your first lightcycle! That was an easy one to get you started and learn the basics of how we work here. The next one's a little trickier, and then we'll get you working with lightcycles people bring in."
She pauses for a moment to let that sink in, "For now, though, if you like, you can take a break. There's nothing wrong with resting a little between lightcycles. There's also nothing wrong if you wanna keep going. It's your call."
[[Take a break after vehicle 01]]
[[Keep working after vehicle 01]]You decide that you could use a little break and stretch slightly as you stand up.
Mara smiles and then takes you around the garage, introducing you to everyone, while Bit follows along behind.
Even if they're busy, every program takes the time to say hi to you, making you feel welcome.
On the way back to your workstation, Mara grabs the next test lightcycle to set up for you.
[[Time for Vehicle 02]] You've just gotten started at the work cycle and you're determined to prove that you're a hard worker and make a good first impression.
Mara goes off with Bit to get the next test lightcycle, so you do get a little bit of a breather before continuing.
[[Time for Vehicle 02]]Mara sets up the second lightcycle for you, placing it in your workstation.
She gives you a grin, "How about we let Bit take over your training and see how it goes?"
You give both of them a nod, and Bit happily yells "YES!"
Hopefully you won't cause it to yell 'NO!' at you.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]]The lightcycle is very similar to the first one, a test one that's on the little bit older side. At a glance, you see no signs of damage.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02's Baton]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 02's Engine]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 02's Power Cell]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 02's Wheels]]
-
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 02]]Putting the lightcycle away in its baton is a challenge and sending it back out even more so.
You investigate further and discover that one of the pieces that connects the two halves together is broken and jagged, causing it to catch whenever it's activated.
While you're checking out the baton, Bit is hovering closely over your shoulder. Almost a little too close, as you feel a little static energy radiating off of it as it rotates in midair.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]] The engine has no problems at all, starting up and stopping easily with a familiar hum.
As you sit on the lightcycle to test it, Bit slowly circles you, floating casually through the air round and round.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]] You give the power cell a good look over. You don't see anything out of place and it's at about 75% power, so it could use a top off, but that's not the main issue here.
While you're leaning in, Bit flies in close and looks at the power cell with you. At least, that's what you think it's doing, as it doesn't have any visible eyes.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]] Overall, the wheels appear to be functioning fine. There are a few dents on the front wheel, clearly somebody ran it into something at some point, but it doesn't affect the functioning at all, even if it looks a little messy.
Bit decides to fly through the hole in the middle of the wheel, wooshing through easily.
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]] Bit says, "Yes!" and Mara translates, "Bit wants to know what you think is wrong with the lightcycle."
That's a lot of words to get out of one word and you wonder if Mara is doing some creative translating.
[[Vehicle 02's Baton Broken]]
[[Vehicle 02's Engine Broken]]
[[Vehicle 02's Power Cell Broken]]
[[Vehicle 02's Wheels Broken]]
-
[[Inspect Vehicle 02]] You say to Bit that you believe that the power cell is what's causing the problem.
Unfortunately, you get a loud "NO!" and Bit transforms into a terrifyingly spiky ball as it yells at you, then swaps back to being a blue polyhedral.
Mara shakes her head, "Everything about the power cell looked fine. Besides, I wouldn't give you two power cell problems in a row." She gives you a teasing wink, as you probably shouldn't take that sort of thing into account, there's no telling what kind of problems you'll actually face.
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 02]] Bit flies around wildly yelling "YESYESYESYESYES" as it changes into an orange octahedron with each 'YES', when its done, it's back to blue.
Mara nods approvingly at your assessment, "Great! So, how do you think it needs to be fixed?"
[[Repair the broken piece on Vehicle 02's Baton]]
[[Apply energy to make Vehicle 02's Baton work smoother]]You tell Bit that you think the lightcycle's engine is broken, and you get a loud "NO!" as an answer, Bit briefly turning into some red spiky thing before returning back to normal.
Mara is tempted to leave it at that, but she decides to explain, "The engine looked and sounded just fine to us."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 02]] You look to Bit and tell it that it looks like the wheels are broken and need fixed.
There's a moment of silence before Bit yells, "NO!" and changes into nothing but red spikes before flipping back to its usual blue.
Mara shakes her head, "Somebody bumped it into a few things last time we used it as a test lightcycle, but the wheels still work like they should."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 02]] Bit tells you "YES!" once again, changing from blue to orange and back again, as it spirals around you in joy.
Mara grins, "Right! This won't be too hard, you just place your tool on it and adjust the settings."
[[Repair vehicle 02's baton]]Bit yells "NO!", temporarily changing into red spikes before going back to blue roundness, and you get the feeling that you've disappointed it.
Mara shakes her head, "Sorry, I don't think that's fully going to work. It might help, but there's still something else that really needs fixed."
[[Vehicle 02's Baton Broken]] With Mara's guidance, you carefully repair the crack in the baton. The tool is different from the ones you're used to, so she shows you all the options, but lets you pick the one you need.
You set the tool to fill in the crack, and it does so, printing the missing material line by line, until you can't tell that there was ever any damage there.
Bit watches closely, bobbing and weaving around and between both of you while you work. Somehow, it's not terribly distracting and almost more comforting instead.
[[What will you do after repairing vehicle 02?]]Now that the lightcycle is repaired, Bit declares, "YES!" in its orange octahedron way, then changes back to its usual blue.
Mara nods to Bit, then looks to you, "That's the last of the training lightcycles, so you're welcome to take a break or you can dive right into helping people."
[[Take a break after vehicle 02]]
[[Keep working after vehicle 02]]You've worked hard, so you decide to take a break. It'll be nice to relax a little bit before you start working on real lightcycles with real problems.
Mara shows you where the energy sink for programs is and gets you both a glass, and a bowl for Bit.
As you sip your drink, Bit sits in the bowl of energy, occasionally rolling around and splashing energy everywhere, much to yours and Mara's amusement.
After everybody's had their fill, Mara leads your little group to the waiting area of the garage. She looks over the list of waiting lightcycles and picks one that she thinks will be easy for you to start off with.
[[Time for Vehicle 03]]You consider Mara's offer of a break, but decide to keep going. You're on a roll, after all, and you'd like to keep it up. There's no time for jitters and worrying about how you're going to handle your first real lightcycle repair.
Mara goes to pick out one of the waiting lightcycles for you, while Bit sticks with you and keeps you company.
She returns shortly with your new assignment.
[[Time for Vehicle 03]]The owner of the first real lightcycle you're going to work on is a female program who seems apprehensive of turning over her lightcycle to you, but is doing her best to hide it.
She explains, "It just stopped working and I can't figure out what's wrong with it. I'm not exactly a repair program..." As she trails off, you wonder what kind of program she is.
You reassure her that you'll figure it out and that her lightcycle will be as good as new, which gets you a smile.
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]]The lightcycle is an older model - not quite the oldest, but you're pretty sure that it's older than Argon City itself.
But, new or old, all lightcycles have the same basic functions, so you should still be able to figure this one out.
While you give it the initial look over, Bit flies over to the lightcycle's owner. It seems to have taken a liking to her.
Where to begin?
[[Inspect Vehicle 03's Baton]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 03's Engine]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 03's Power Cell]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 03's Wheels]]
-
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 03]]You compress the lightcycle back into the baton, it flows smoothly back together, though a little on the slow side. But, that's to be expected from this older model and the performance issue is negligible.
The baton itself is well-worn, with minor cosmetic scrapes on it. Which is in line with its age and the assumed heavy use, based on how much its program seems to care for it.
When you release the lightcycle back out, it has the exact same timing as the compression, confirming that that's how this model works.
All in all, it's in excellent shape for its age.
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]]The pieces of the engine look a little different from what you're used to, so you don't immediately see the problem until you take a closer look.
There, off to the side, one of the parts is slightly out of place. It looks like it's intact and undamaged, but not in the right position.
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]]The power cell is in good shape. There's some wear on it, but nothing to be concerned about.
It's nearly completely full of energy, despite the fact that she said she wasn't a repair program, she at least had the common sense to check and make sure that it wasn't a fuel problem. Which it doesn't seem to be.
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]]The style of the wheels is one way to tell which generation of lightcycle you're looking at.
This one has wheels in line with its age. There's some obvious wear, but that shouldn't be affecting how it runs.
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]]You take a breath as you prepare yourself to tell Mara what you think is wrong with the lightcycle.
The owner was told in advance that you were in training, so she doesn't mind you double checking with Mara, though she is anxious and curious to know what's wrong with her lightcycle.
[[Vehicle 03's Baton Broken]]
[[Vehicle 03's Engine Broken]]
[[Vehicle 03's Power Cell Broken]]
[[Vehicle 03's Wheels Broken]]
-
[[Inspect Vehicle 03]] You tell Mara that it looks like there's something wrong with the lightcycle's power cell.
Mara gently shakes her head, "I don't think that's it, it looks like it's full of energy and functioning well. Try looking again."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 03]]You talk to Mara and inform her that you've decided that the baton is what needs to be fixed.
Mara tilts her head, "It looks like it was sticking a little, but with this old of a model they sometimes just do that. We maybe can adjust it some, but that shouldn't be causing it to not work at all."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 03]]You look to Mara for confirmation and tell her that you think the engine is what's causing the problem here.
She smiles and nods proudly, "You've got it! So, how are you gonna fix it?"
[[Replace the misaligned part of vehicle 03's engine]]
[[Lightly bonk the misaligned part of vehicle 03's engine]]You say that you think the wheels are what's malfunctioning on this lightcycle.
Mara gently corrects you, "I know they're a little different than the ones you practiced on, but I'm pretty sure they're working just fine."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 03]]You suggest to Mara that it should be an easy deal to replace the one problem piece of the engine.
Mara grimaces lightly, "I don't know about that, it looks like it's not broken and doesn't need completely replaced."
[[Vehicle 03's Engine Broken]] You tell Mara that you think that a physical realignment of the dislodged piece should do the trick.
Mara nods, pleased with your assessment, "I think you're right. If you hit it in the right spot, it should go back into place nicely."
[[Do percussive maintenance on vehicle 03's engine]]1

WHACK!
You strike the piece that's out of place and it easily slides back where it belongs.
As soon as it does, the light cycle hums to life, proving that your instinct was correct.
The owner of the lightcycle looks relieved, "Thank you, I really appreciate it! Things got a little rough last lightcycle race, no wonder it got knocked out of place."
She gives Bit a goodbye pat, as it had spent the time waiting hanging out with her, takes her lightcycle, and leaves the garage.
Mara beams, "Great job! I think there's time for just one more lightcycle in your queue, so you can either take a break or get to work on it right away."
[[What will you do after repairing vehicle 03?]]You consider Mara's question, thinking it over. It's getting late, and you've been working hard, so a break might be nice. Though, on the other hand, the sooner you get this last lightcycle fixed, the sooner you'll be done with your first work cycle.
[[Take a break after vehicle 03]]
[[Keep working after vehicle 03]]You decide to take a break, so Mara takes you on a short tour of the non-public areas of the garage.
Of note is the locker room, if all goes well, one of the lockers will be yours soon, and a break area where you can sit and relax.
You and Mara sit for a while, with Bit floating around between you. It's nice to have a calm moment.
[[Time for Vehicle 04]]You're feeling good about repairing a real lightcycle, so you want to keep your momentum going. You're ready to tackle the Grid - or at least the last lightcycle of the day.
[[Time for Vehicle 04]]Since it's getting pretty late in the work cycle, there's only one lightcycle left waiting, so neither you nor Mara can choose, so you're stuck with the luck of the draw.
The owner of your last lightcycle of the day is a tall male program who looks rather distressed.
"I ran into a swarm of gridbugs, I barely escaped, but my lightcycle wasn't so lucky..."
That sounds bad.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]]Putting the lightcycle in an out of the baton is tricky, but that's in line with the damage it's taken. It'll likely work just fine once the lightcycle has been completely repaired.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]] The engine has some light damage that will be repaired once the main damage has been. Nothing to worry about.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]] The power cell has enough energy to get a good way across the city, probably enough to get the owner home.
There's a little damage to it, but it'll be repaired as part of fixing the main damage to the lightcycle.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]] The lightcycle doesn't have wheels, it has one wheel. The gridbugs ate the back wheel, causing a little other damage to the rest of the lightcycle, leaving just the front wheel as the only way the lightcycle can roll. It's a miracle it's even standing up as much as it is.
You wonder if the guy attempted to ride the lightcycle here as-is and how difficult of a feat that would be.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]] You look to Mara, ready to give your report.

[[Vehicle 04's Engine Broken]]
[[Vehicle 04's Power Cell Broken]]
[[Vehicle 04's Wheels Broken]]
-
[[Inspect Vehicle 04]] The lightcycle - or what's left of it - is clearly damaged. It's a slightly older model, one of the most common ones around.
[[Inspect Vehicle 04's Baton]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 04's Engine]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 04's Power Cell]]
[[Inspect Vehicle 04's Wheels]]
-
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 04]]You say that the lightcycle's power cell isn't functioning correctly.
Mara looks from you to the lightcycle and back again before saying, "Are you sure that that's the only problem that it's got?"
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 04]]You declare that the lightcycle's baton isn't working properly.
Mara stares at you for a moment, then says, "Okay, yes, that's not exactly wrong, but I think there's something else big that you're missing."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 04]]You tell Mara that the lightcycle's engine is broken.
Mara takes a breath before replying, "Mmm, okay, yes, it does have a few little problems we can fix, but I think you're overlooking the main issue."
[[Report Findings for Vehicle 04]]You awkwardly gesture to Mara and say that the lightcycle only has one wheel, so that's got to be the problem.
She stifles a giggle, "I believe you're right. We've got two options here, what do you want to do?"
[[Carefully rebuild the back wheel of vehicle 04]]
[[Cut off the back wheel from another lighcycle and stick it on vehicle 04]]You tell Mara that you'll need to rebuild the back wheel of the lightcycle.
She smiles proudly, "That's the best way to do it! It's getting late, so I'll help you out, it's a little tricky."
[[Rebuild vehicle 04's back wheel]]You suggest cutting off the back wheel from another lightcycle and attaching it to this one. Problem solved.
Mara stares at you for a moment, while Bit yells "NO!", and the lightcycle's owner watches on in confusion.
Finally, Mara regains her composure and points out, "If you do that, then you'll still have a lightcycle missing a back wheel. It'll help this guy, but not whatever lightcycle we take it from."
[[Vehicle 04's Wheels Broken]] Mara activates the lightcycle work skeleton and you both work together to painstakingly rebuild the back wheel piece by piece, while Bit and the owner watch on.
With the both of you working on it, and Mara's experience, it goes quicker than you thought it would.
Once you're done, the lightcycle stands there, almost better than new, as you both fixed the minor damage, along with the wheel.
The owner is impressed, "Thanks! I wasn't sure it could be saved, I'm glad you were able to!" He gives you a friendly wave goodbye and cheerfully heads out.
Mara looks to you with a smile, "That's it for the cycle, you did a great job! I'll definitely tell Able that you're a good fit for the garage."
[[Your first cycle of work is now over.]]Now that your first cycle of work is over, what will you do during the late cycle?
[[Go out with coworkers after your first shift]]
[[Go home to rest after your first shift]]
[[Stay at work after your first shift]]Some of your coworkers eagerly inform you that it's a tradition for new mechanics to go out and party with everybody on their first day.
You don't even have to think about it to take them up on their offer.
Mara passes by as you're making plans, but she politely declines, "Sorry, I already made plans with my friends, but next time for sure!" You say goodbye to her, and it feels like she means it when she says that she'll join in another time.
Your cowokers take you to their favorite club for dancing and drinking. Everybody shares their drinks, wanting you to experience all of them and the tastes of Argon.
It's late when you head out to sleep, but you had so much fun that it was totally worth it.
[[Time for your second shift at the garage]]You are completely worn out from all the work you did today, along with the travel. You haven't gotten an apartment set up, but there is a hotel nearby that is perfect for your needs until you get settled in.
Mara's heading out with her friends, so you wave goodbye to her first, then say the rest of your goodbyes once she's gone.
It doesn't take long to get a room and get checked in, you collapse on the bed and sleep soundly until it's time to get back to work.
[[Time for your second shift at the garage]]Since you're still getting used to things here in Argon, you decide to stay at the garage and see what else you can do to help out. It feels important to make a good impression, and this seems like a good way to do so.
Mara waves goodbye as she heads out with her friends. Programs are going and coming, everybody you had worked with is off now, while the late cycle shift is coming in.
You spend the time cleaning up and talking with your late shift coworkers, giving them a hand when needed. Bit supervises you the whole time, it seems to have taken a liking to you.
When you leave, it's just in time to get a full rest cycle's worth of sleep.
[[Time for your second shift at the garage]]Maybe you're excited about your new job or maybe it's because you're adjusting to a new city, but you're early to work at the garage the next cycle.
When you get there, the tone is much different than the day before, it's somber and everybody is gathered near Able's office.
[[See what's going on when you arrive for your second shift.]]It's clearly something bad, as every program is in some state of distress. One looks particularly devastated, Mara and another program near him are very upset as well, but not as much as him.
You join in the group and learn that one of your coworkers has died, killed by the Occupation. Mara and her friends had gotten on the Occupation's bad side and one of them paid the price for it.
Everyone's quiet for a bit and a simple memorial takes place. Programs that knew him and feel like speaking say a few words of what he meant to them.
You think he was one of the programs you briefly talked to yesterday, but you're not sure, as you're still learning everybody's names. If that was him, though, he was nice and you regret that you won't be able to get to know him better.
Afterwords, people are given the option to leave work if they'd like.
You choose to stay, you didn't really know him and maybe the work will keep your mind off of his death.
[[Get started on your second shift]]Tragedy or no, there's still vehicles that need repairing, so you settle in for your second shift. You're still getting used to things, but it's clear that everybody here is a family, and they'll help you out if you need it.
You have mixed feelings as you get to work, but things can't get much worse, they can only go up.
There's plenty of work that needs to be done this cycle and you know that everybody here will get through it all together.
THE END
Click here to start over - [[Your Beginning]] As you enter the office, your eyes are drawn to everything. Able has quite the impressive collection, all sorts of artifacts that look like they belong on an entirely different system. There's everything from outfits to an actual live Bit. You've heard stories about the beings, but hadn't seen one yourself until now.
Able himself is an older program, watching you carefully as you admire his collection in wonder.
"So, you're looking for a job? It's quite a long way from the rest of the Grid, how did you even hear about my garage?"
You reply that a friend-of-a-friend-of-a - whoops, lost your thought there. Somebody told you about this garage and, since you were looking for a fresh start, the distance from home didn't seem to matter so much.
Able looks wistful at this, "All right, we'll give you a test run this cycle and see what we both think of the work. I've got things I need to finish up here, but Bit will take you to Mara." He turns his attention to the blue floating shape, "Isn't that right?"
The Bit agreed loudly, yelling "YES!" as it changed to a orange diamond-like shape, then sped over to you. It spiraled around you, then zoomed out the door.
Able laughed, "You better hurry, looks like Bit is feeling impatient this cycle."
You thank Able, then give chase after the flying polyhedral.
Bit leads you to a female program with blue hair, very similar to the same color as the Bit.
The Bit greets her in much the same way as it did you.
[[Talk to Mara]]You ask to confirm that she's named Mara, and both her and Bit say, "Yes" at the same time.
She gives Bit a fond pet, then turns her attention back to you, "You must be on official business, if Bit brought you to me."
You agree and quickly explain that you're hoping to work at the garage, so Able is giving you a chance to prove yourself for the work cycle.
Mara beams brightly, "Great! We can always use more programs around here to help out. We've got an empty station for you to work at, I'll get you set up."
Bit appears to already know the way and has headed off in that direction. You and Mara follow behind at a more relaxed pace.
Once you get to the workstation, Mara activates it and sets it up for you. When she's done, she turns to you to give you the rundown of how it works.
